Protective gloves have been an important
part of health and safety at work for many years, and
PVC gloves pioneered by North Safety were common place.
PVC has given way to more sophisticated industrial gloves
with pvc and nitrile mixes and coated gloves on nylon,
cotton or kevlar cut and sewn shells. Traditional rubber
gloves, sometimes called marigolds are now available
with other dipped or coated shells.
Standards range from EN 388 mechanical
risks, cutting, abrasion, tear and puncture resistance
to EN374 for chemical protection.
Brand names supplied are North Safety,
perfect fit by Dalloz Safety and Pal for disposable
gloves.
