Protective
workwear and industrial protective clothing are an important
part of health and safety at work. Health and safety
regulations require employers to provide adequate protection
for employees who must also wear the protective clothing
supplied. Workwear these days means more than traditional
boilersuits and bib and braces. Practical and stylish
designs, not only in boilersuits, but jackets, trousers
coats and overalls offer protection and good presentation.
Leisurewear including polo shirts, sweatshirts,
and teeshirts by Screenstars, Hanes and Portwest are
increasing in popularity, particularly with embroidered
and printed badges and logos enhancing company image
and status. Protective workwear and safety clothing
supplied by Haxton Safety meet all these requirements.
Specialised safety workwear such as anti-static and
flame retardant garments are also available.
High Visibility vests, waistcoats and
jackets to EN471 are used in almost all working sites.
Class 2 waistcoats with 1 band or 2 band reflective
tape are the cheapest option to comply with health and
safety regulations on safety sites. Class 3 lined or
unlined high visibility jackets are most suitable in
wet and rain conditions. EN 471 is the European requirement
for reflective tape on mainly fluorescent yellow or
orange backgrounds. Sealtex garments by Portwest provide
transfer coated waterproof jackets and trousers as well
as one piece boilersuits with breathable features. Regatta
provide outdoor breathable isotex interactive jackets
which can be fitted with fleece jackets. Regatta and
Portwest also supply an attractive range of bodywarmers,
fleece jackets, outdoor waterproof jackets as well as
high visibility vests and waistcoats.
Portwest, Harveys, Harpoon, Faithful
and Davern are all suppliers of workwear to Haxton Safety. |
